Lights in homes and businesses around the world will be turning out the lights for one hour in support of global climate change. Earth Hour started in Sydney, Australia in 2007 when 2.2 million people and 2000 businesses turned off their lights for one hour to stand for climate change. By 2010, 188 countries and territories participated in
Earth Hour.
